This is a pre-processing (red) element. It is placed after a Source to add intentional delay (buffering) to the audio flow. This can be used for example to sync the audio with separate video streams.
| Option | Description | Notes |
| Target delay | Sets the additional delay added in microseconds (ms). | |
| Current delay | Displays the current delay in microsends (ms). | Unless Speed factor is used, this should match Target Delay. |
| Speed factor |
Sets the speed with which the current delay is changed to reach the target delay. Value represents how much the audio is speed up or slowed down to smoothly reach the Target delay in seconds-per-second. Example: You have determined that the Target delay is currently too high, so you adjust it. A Speed factor of 1.5 is set. This means that the audio is played back 50% slower (0.5 seconds per 1 ‘real’ second) until the new Target delay is reached. |
Without this feature, delay adaption is instant. Requires the Smooth Delay license. |
