Licenses for aixtream come in two types:

Using AC-3 (Dolby Digital) encoding. One license is also required for decoding of AC-3. |
| AES67 | Scaling | Using AES67 inputs/outputs. It also includes Ravenna and Livewire functionality. |
| Asynchronous Serial Interface | Feature | Using an Asynchronous Serial Interface (ASI) for output of MPEG TS. |
| Audio I/O | Scaling | Using connected audio interfaces inputs/outputs. This includes USB and PCIe audio interfaces. |
| Virtual Audio Ports | Scaling | Creating virtual audio ports for complex audio routing, mixing and reuse. Each (mono or stereo) virtual audio port requires 1 license. |
